I don’t think I’ve worked this hard in a long time. It still feel strange being in a different location, needing to pull out every drawer at least 40 times before I find something. But at least the dentist I’m working with is really nice and helpful. I really don’t mind working that hard that way. Kinda satisfying really.
But there’s still two and a half weeks to survive so it’s not done just yet. Good thing it’s halfway trough the week tomorrow.
On the up side, I’m almost done with the final piece of my project. Which I realised took two years to even get that far.
I’m slow with these things.
When did that happen? I remember punching out a eight piece project in a month before!
Then again the quality went up as did the amount of time put into it.
After the last piece is done, all that’s left are the two or three comic pages. Luckily I have some free days coming next week! So that means 4 days of non stop drawing! After normal chores are done of course. Laundry needs to be done, cats need to eat. That sort of thing.
If the weather doesn’t decide to be a little bitch and get uncomfortably hot again.
just fucking draw. don’t compare yourself to other people, don’t stop because you drew a lot last tuesday and you haven’t visibly improved. it takes time, effort, and a lot of perseverance. besides, no matter how “bad” you think you are, there’s still gonna be someone who thinks the stuff you produce is the best goddamn thing they’ve ever seen in their entire life. the artist you were five years ago would have their mind fucking blown by the artist you are today. so just draw a fuckton, because every new thing you draw is one drawing better than you were before.
